Customs a government agency which all shipments that are sent to and from a country or region must be cleared by. Customs clearance is the customs officials that inspect the item, check the goods description, goods value and goods quality and so on when the items pass one country.
Import Duty
What is import duty?
Import duty means when your package passes through your countries and then your country customs will charge you. So it is on you to pay the relevant custom duties to clear customs. We don't add any import duty in our product price or in the shipping cost.
How much is the import duty?
It is from low to high for different countries which based on the country tariff policy of every country's customs. According to the goods value and the express company, the import duty is also different. In addition, for some countries, no import duty because goods value under some amount.
As we use different express and flat air mail, the amount of customs is different.
For items ship from EU/UK warehouse, there is no tax
For YWEN, we can ship from China via ywen no tax to EU Union, as we register ioss acount, we will pay tax from our side, then customers do not need pay tax again
For express, for example DHL, UPS, EMS, TNT, etc. The import duty amount is different as they are depend on the different countries' tariff policy respectively.
For DHL, according to the regulation of DHL, the customs declared value should be not less than 80USD, otherwise DHL company will not delivery the package, or some documents will be provided to DHL, which bring us much inconvenience, so we have to declare the value up to 80USD.
For UPS and EMS, they haven't upgraded their customs clearance policy as DHL Company required.
